Who we are
“Leckerly” refers to the Leckerly product and related website operated by an independent developer (not a registered company entity at the time of writing). For privacy questions, contact leckerlykitchenops@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Leckerly mobile application and the Leckerly marketing website (for example, pages hosted alongside this document).
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Leckerly, we may collect:
- Account information: email address and authentication identifiers provided through our sign-in provider.
- Profile and preferences: information you add in onboarding/settings (for example, household name, dietary preferences, and similar fields supported by the app).
- Household collaboration data: content you create or share within a household, such as planned meals, grocery lists, and related metadata needed to sync features.
- Recipes and imports: recipe text, structured ingredients/steps, images you attach, URLs you import, and notes/edits you make inside the app.
- Support communications: messages you send us (including email content).
- Diagnostics and usage data: app events and performance/crash data collected through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics when enabled in production builds.
- Device and technical data: basic device/app information commonly included in analytics and crash reports (for example, app version, OS version, device model, and coarse diagnostic signals).
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve Leckerly (including sync, search, imports, and household features).
- Maintain security and prevent abuse.
- Understand product usage and reliability (analytics and crash reporting).
- Communicate with you about support requests and important service updates.
Legal bases (if applicable)
Leckerly is primarily intended for users in the United States. If you access Leckerly from regions with privacy laws requiring a “legal basis” for processing, we rely on appropriate bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests (for example, security and product improvement), and consent where required.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us run Leckerly, including:
- Supabase: authentication, database, file storage, and related infrastructure used to operate the product.
- Google Firebase: Analytics and Crashlytics for usage and crash diagnostics in production builds.
- Google Play: distribution and platform services when you install/update the app through Google Play.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Leckerly and our users.
AI-assisted features (if you use them)
If you use features that rely on Google’s Generative AI APIs, your prompts and relevant context may be transmitted to Google to generate a response. Do not submit sensitive information you are not comfortable sending to an AI provider.
Push notifications (if enabled)
If you enable push notifications, we may use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver messages. This involves processing device tokens and message delivery metadata.
Cookies and similar technologies (website)
Our marketing site is primarily informational. We may still use basic analytics technologies consistent with how we operate the site and measure performance.
Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some analytics/crash data may be retained for a limited period according to Google’s settings and policies.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain information, or to opt out of certain processing.
- Account deletion: contact us at leckerlykitchenops@gmail.com to request account deletion. Deletion may take time and may not remove information already included in backups or where retention is legally required.
- Analytics: device-level advertising/analytics controls may be available in your device settings; availability varies by platform and version.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information (if applicable). Leckerly does not “sell” personal information or “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly understood under California law.

Children
Leckerly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International users
If you access Leckerly from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
